Greaseproof paper is used for wrapping foods for storage, especially greasy foods such as butter, bacon or doughnuts. It is also used to separate layers of pancakes, cookies or other baked goods for storage. It can go from freezer to refrigerator to microwave with no problems. Greaseproof paper is also used to line cake and muffin tins, though, paradoxically, it must be lightly greased for these uses
