Waterless printing is a new tech of printing, which is more friendly to environment. There are some information about it.
Waterless printing is an offset lithographic printing process that eliminates the water or dampening system used in conventional printing. In conventional printing, a delicate balance must be struck between the amount of ink and water to create the desired effect. In addition, chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol and other substitutes must be used.
Waterless printing, in contrast, uses a simple, chemical-free mechanical process. The variable that must be controlled is the temperature, rather than the amount of chemicals, water and ink. The waterless press has a special silicone rubber-coated printing plate and specifically designed ink.
